It's 4 AM. Do you know where your children are?

I am not keeping up with my resolve to post more entries. I guess I just don't have that much to say. Let's face it folks, the life of a third shift supervisor with CVS is just boring!
The big news in VV world is that he had started smoking agian. I was a bit sad to hear the news, but not surprised. My mom has tried several times to quit and I have stopped being disappointed when she fails, so when I heard Vince had started again it was pretty much expected. I have come to the realization that cigarettes are just that powerful of an addiction and that's why I have never tried one. If I never even take a drag off one, then I will never become a smoker. The way I see it, I have too many vices already. Chipotle, Diet Pepsi, red-headed sluts, Vince Vaughn, music that no one else likes.
The Wild West Comedy Show is in a week, and I am still extremely excited. The guys in the show started a blog on mySpace and it's pretty cool. They don't write too often (gosh who has a blog and then doesn't post every day) but they've started to pick it up a bit. Right now they are in Arkansas and going to Alabama, so I'm sure they're writing out of boredom! If Vince gets bored in Columbus, he can hop over here to Reynoldsburg and I will entertain him. I've got plenty of 100 Grand bars (his favorite-don't ask how I know) and tons of board games. Taboo, Balderdash, Pit, Jenga, hot sex with Amanda. Wait, that's not a board game, that's a bed game!
There is Shooter Jennings show in Cleveland on the 18th of October and one in Athens on the 20th. I want to go to one of them, and the one on the 20th seems more doable, since it's on a Thursday. It'll give me something to look forward to once VV's WW Comedy Show is over.

Two Weeks Baby!

VV's WW Comedy Show is in two weeks, and needless to say, I am STOKED! Everytime I think about it, I get all excited and giddy. In two weeks, I will be in the same state as Vince Vaughn. I will be in the same city as Vince Vaughn. I will be in the same building as Vince Vaughn. I will be within 100 feet of Vince Vaughn. I am going to see Vince Vaughn live and in person! Oh. My. God. *breathes into paper bag
Back to reality-- There was a really creepy guy in my Reynoldsburg store Monday night. He came in once and was a little odd, but we get odd people all the time. He had on an orange Reynoldsburg Youth Soccer shirt and plaid pajama pants and he looked kinda dirty I guess you would say. He bought a few things and left only to return a few hours later in the same getup minus shoes (F-ck shoes! Listen to this guy with shoes). He then started to roam around the store and I went up to the register to wait for him to check out. As he walked by I noticed his eyes were squinty and he was breathing kinda weird. I thought that he might be sleep walking. He walked over to the deoderant and was fiddling around with the sale signs and tearing them off and resticking them all sideways and stuff. I started to get a little creeped out and went to get the other person who was working that night. She came up and we stood there and watched him for a bit. He was still just fiddling around with the signs. Then, he took a big bag of M&Ms and tried to stick them into his pocket. The other lady was like, "Sir can I help you with something?" He looked over and said no and took the candy out of his pocket. He left the aisle, walked around a bit more, and then came to get rung up. He had glasses on so his eyes were no longer squinty and he seemed relatively normal at this point. I rang him up, he said thanks, and left. A few minutes later, he came back and asked if I knew where his shoes were. I told him that he didn't have them on when he came in and he said, "Oh. They must be outside." He was the most random guy ever. I gotta stop working the third shift!

Engagement Party

Saturday night was Sara and Josh's engagement party. We had such a fun time! The food was good, the company was great, and the alcohol was plentiful. I definitley need to learn to keep track of how many shots I take. I had a little too much to drink and had to leave early, but it was very fun up until then.
The party has gotten me very excited about the wedding. I can't wait to shop for dresses and shoes. I want to pick out hairstyles and all that. I am so happy for Josh and Sara and their day is gonna be so much fun!

Pit-L Row BB

I have procured tickets for VV's WW Comedy Show. I got four seats in the orchestra pit row BB. I think that's the second row! Second row! SECOND ROW! I will be close enough to smell Vince! Needless to say, I am extremely excited and counting down the days until the show (25). Sara and Josh will be joining me, and I think Bruce is going to take the fourth ticket.
On a sadder note, our Buckeyes lost last night. I think they held their own against Texas though. The announcers were the worst, and they kept talking about Vince Young. God, you would have thought we were watching the Texas quarterback show! Oh well, what are you gonna do?

Bruce

I found out some pretty sad news last night at work. Bruce, a pharmacist in Pickerington, is leaving CVS. He mentioned to me last week that he had an interview with Merck and I guess he got the job. He is tired of working third shift and he is just not able to work retail during the day. Bruce lost his legs a few years ago and is in a wheelchair. He's without a doubt the most inspiring person I've ever met. He is a very positive, outgoing individual with the best attitude toward life. I am going to miss seeing him at work, but I think the new job will be better for him. I am just very thankful that I met him and was able to get to know him.

Are You Ready to Rock BK Broiler?

Many of you have told expressed your disappointment in the quantity of my blog entries. Thus far, I have taken the "quality not quantity" approach and only posted an enrty when I had something fun or worthwhile to say. I would also make sure I was awake enough to form clear, grammatically correct (for the most part) sentences. That being said, I will now start to post about really stupid things that you all care about even less than Shooter Jennings and Vince Vaughn. I know it's hard to believe, but I do have thoughts in my head that do not revolve around the two of them, and I am pretty sure you don't want to hear about these either. But if you must have two entries a week, two entries are what you're going to get.
I had a very stressful beginning to my week at work. I was scheduled to work two stores on the same night and both managers were less than helpful in resolving the issue. It all worked out after I fudged the schedules and sent a clerk from Pickerington to Reynoldsburg for the night. I did what I had to do. There was a bright spot in the otherwise stressful situation. While in Pickerington Monday morning trying to find a solution to my problem, I happened to glance over at the DVD rack. CVS gets its DVDs from an outside company, and the titles that get sent are usually the really cheesey movies that you catch on TBS on a Saturday afternoon or some off the wall bomb that a now famous star made before they took acting classes. Occasionally one will find a good movie like As Good As It Gets or The Big Lebowski. Monday happened to be my lucky day. Sitting on the second to last shelf of the rack was a copy of The Prime Gig, one of the few Vince Vaughn movies that I like but do not yet own. Vince's handsome face was right there on the cover next to the $9.99 price sticker (that's $7.99 after my discount-do the math folks!). It totally made my day better.
I have a long week ahead of me, but I do have Saturday off for the big game. Not sure if I am staying in town or going to my sister's house. She's having a little game watching party and I think it would be fun, but I also want to see Sara go nuts. What's a girl to do?
Hope you all had a good Labor Day weekend. Be looking for another entry shortly since that's my new thing now. I can't say that it won't suck, but there will be something to read. And cross you fingers for me Firday morning. I will be buying my Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show (God that's a lot to type!) tickets and I want kick ass, California gansta style seats.
